Welcome to MoneyWise, TruStone Financial's program for young savers.

This is the place where a person can get pretty smart about money stuff. MoneyWise is all about helping kids learn about money, from how to set financial goals and savings strategies to how dividends work and credit issues.

How the Program Works

MoneyWise is only available to the children and grandchildren of TruStone Financial members. The child must be under the age of 18 to participate. Once you are enrolled in the MoneyWise program, you are eligible for all kinds of neat stuff.

Special Products

MoneyWise kids can take advantage of some pretty cool savings products available to no one but them. The MoneyWise MoneyFund is a special savings account that earns a higher dividend rate than a regular Share account and has a lower minimum deposit amount than TruStone Financial's regular MoneyFund account.

The MoneyWise Certificate is a 12-month certificate with the special feature of being able to make additional deposits into the account. With this savings option, you can earn a higher dividend rate than either the Share or MoneyFund account.

Special Mailings

Several times during the year, the kids will receive a special newsletter - a version for younger savers (up to age 10) with teaching tips for kids and adults, or the 11-17 version written just for teen-type savers with practical information about credit, loans, checking accounts and responsible spending.

Special Incentives

To help keep our MoneyWise kids motivated to learn and practice good savings habits, TruStone Financial will sweeten the pot even further. By making a savings deposit in each of the three months that comprise a quarter (ex. April, May and June, etc.), MoneyWise kids will be automatically entered into a quarterly drawing1 for a $250 cash prize deposit. There is no minimum deposit amount required, just a deposit into their savings account in each of the three months of the quarter.
