Using an outdated web browser not only makes for a worse web browsing experience, it can also pose a security risk.

For your safety, you should keep your web browser up-to-date. Browser updates often provide increased protection against threats like Trojans, viruses, spyware and other kinds of malware—since the security issues in the older versions have already been identified and fixed. If you don’t update your browser, you could be putting yourself at an increased risk of running into one of these security problems.

Updating your browser is usually very easy and quick. Your browser may even be set to update automatically, but if it’s not, you may want to enable this feature, if it’s available.
