Plymouth, Minn. (August 14, 2014) – As a gesture of appreciation and solidarity, TruStone Financial Federal Credit Union has donated $500 to the Kenosha Professional Police Association.

“The entire Kenosha police force has served TruStone Financial well since the credit union arrived to the community in 2012,” said Matt Krauter, Vice President, Regional Manager at TruStone Financial. Detective Peter Deates accepted the donation on behalf of the KPPA. The donation will go directly to the Shop with a Cop fund. Shop with a Cop is a program started more than 15 years ago to provide kids in need with a holiday shopping spree. “It is so rewarding to watch the kids spend their money,” said Detective Deates. “Most kids end up buying lots of gifts for family members and only a couple of items for themselves.”

TruStone Financial has a long history of charitable giving to community and educational organizations. As an education-based institution, TruStone Financial is proud to support the KPPA in its mission to better the lives of children both personally and educationally.
