TruStone Financial social media contest promoting charitable giving

PLYMOUTH, Minn. (Dec. 5, 2016) TruStone Financial Federal Credit Union is using social media as a platform to showcase local volunteering efforts in the form of a contest. Facebook followers are able to submit photos of them doing something positive for their community for a chance to win $50 and $100 for a charity of their choice.

This four-week long contest collects new photo submissions each week, Monday through Thursday, and holds voting on Friday to determine the winning individual and charity. After December 23rd, the top four charities will be entered for a chance to win an extra $1,000 grand prize.

“It’s exciting to see current and potential members engaging in this contest,” explained Katie Grindeland, Senior Vice President – Director of Marketing. “Especially around the holiday season, TruStone Financial strives to give back to local communities who are home to organizations that rely on hardworking and caring volunteers.”
