It all began with a few teachers, and a dream.
For you history buffs out there, here’s a little story about how TruStone came to be and became who we are today. The year was 1939 when eight Minnesota school teachers got together with a great idea. They wanted more control over their financial futures and together founded the Minneapolis Federation of Teachers Credit Union.
It grew.
And by 2020, after some name changes and expansions in membership, TruStone Financial had become the second-largest credit union in Minnesota! Through all those years of delivering excellent financial service to thousands of members across Minnesota and Wisconsin, one thing has never changed: Teaching.
