1. Digital Services “MyCredit” Terms and Conditions
Use of MyCredit is subject to the following TruStone MyCredit Terms and Conditions, as amended from time to time. You must accept the terms and conditions below before you will be allowed to access MyCredit. MyCredit is supported by data and services from Experian Information Solutions, Inc. (the “Experian Credit Bureau”) and its service provider, CSIdentity Corporation, an Experian company (“CSID”) (collectively, “Experian”).
As used herein, the terms “TruStone,” “Us,” “We,” or “Our” refer to TruStone Financial Credit Union, or any affiliate, agent, service provider, independent contractor, designee, or assignee that we may, at our sole discretion, involve in the provision of MyCredit. As used herein, the terms “You” or “Your” refer to the individual who is the user of the MyCredit service. When you use, access, or permit any other person or entity to use or access MyCredit, you agree to these terms and conditions. We may amend or change these terms and conditions at any time, in our sole discretion, by sending you written notice by electronic mail, postal mail, or by posting the updated terms and conditions on the TruStone website. If you find the terms and conditions unacceptable at any time, please discontinue your use of MyCredit. Your continued use of MyCredit after we have made changes will be considered your agreement to those changes
2. Eligibility
You must be a U.S. resident, including residents of U.S. Territories, to enroll in and use MyCredit. You must also have sufficient credit history in your Experian credit file to generate a VantageScore Credit Score and to provide credit report information. If Experian cannot match you with a credit report or is otherwise unable to obtain your VantageScore Credit Score, you will not be able to use MyCredit until you have built sufficient credit history. We reserve the right to refuse access to MyCredit at any time.
3. Registration and Accurate Information
If you choose to access MyCredit, you will be required to provide personal information to register and enroll. You agree to provide accurate information during registration and not to share your TruStone online banking password with third parties. You agree not to impersonate another person or to select or use a username or password belonging to another person. You agree to notify TruStone and Experian promptly of any unauthorized use of MyCredit and of any loss, theft, or disclosure of your online banking password. Failure to comply with these requirements constitutes a breach of these terms and conditions and may result in termination of your MyCredit access.
Your Authorization to TruStone to Obtain Your Credit Information. By clicking the “Submit” button during enrollment, you provide written instructions under the Fair Credit Reporting Act and other applicable federal and state laws for Experian, including the Experian Credit Bureau or any other consumer reporting agency, to release your credit report information — including your VantageScore Credit Score, employment information, or income information — to TruStone upon TruStone’s request at any time while you are enrolled in MyCredit. TruStone will use this information to provide you with the MyCredit service to market additional products and services to you.
4. MyCredit Services
TruStone offers MyCredit to its online and mobile banking members free of charge. Members receive free access to their credit report, credit score, credit alerts, credit score simulator, and debt analysis. A description of these services is set forth below.
VantageScore Credit Score
The credit score provided is your VantageScore Credit Score, a model created by the three major credit bureaus: Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion. VantageScore predicts credit risk and measures the probability that a person will pay his or her debts on time. The scores provided by MyCredit are for educational and informational purposes only. You may view your VantageScore Credit Score and MyCredit information as frequently as you like without impacting your credit score.
MyCredit evaluates only the account information appearing on your Experian consumer credit report. Accounts not reported to Experian, or accounts later deleted from your Experian credit report, will not be reflected in your score. MyCredit does not maintain your credit report information and cannot make any changes to it. TruStone is not responsible for inaccurate results, including those caused by incorrect, incomplete, or outdated information in your credit report.
Alerts
Credit Monitoring tracks the health of your credit to help identify potential identity theft and alerts you when new personal information or credit activity appears on your Experian credit report. Credit alerts may include new inquiries, address changes, new derogatory information, new public records, or new accounts opened in your name.
Debt Analysis
Debt Analysis automatically captures and synchronizes the debt information listed in your applicable credit report. Your debt-to-income (DTI) ratio reflects the total amount of monthly debt payments you owe divided by your gross monthly income. This ratio includes all recurring monthly debt and is used to help determine your additional debt capacity.
5. Communications
You agree to receive these terms and conditions and all other communications regarding MyCredit in electronic format. By using MyCredit, you agree that all notices, alerts, or other communications required by MyCredit may be sent to your email address. By enrolling in MyCredit, you consent to receive these communications. We will honor any communication opt-out requests you have made to TruStone.Marketing Our Products and Services. By enrolling in and using MyCredit, you agree that TruStone may periodically obtain your credit report to market our products and services to you.
6. New Features
We may introduce new features to MyCredit or modify or delete existing features at any time, in our sole discretion. We will notify you of any changes to features when legally required. By using any new or modified features when they become available, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions applicable to those features.
7. Cancellation
You may terminate your MyCredit service at any time by unenrolling through TruStone’s online banking site or mobile application. To do this, navigate to the Credit monitoring section of the MyCredit service, scroll to the bottom of the page, and click “Unenroll in MyCredit account.” Your cancellation will be effective immediately. Cancellation does not affect the validity of actions taken by us before your cancellation or while cancellation is being processed. We may
cancel MyCredit or change these terms and conditions at any time in our discretion.
