TruStone Financial Foundation Donates to Charity to Celebrate 80th Anniversary PLYMOUTH, Minn. (Oct. 23, 2019) — In celebration of TruStone Financial Federal Credit Union’s 80th anniversary this year, each of the credit union’s fourteen branches selected a local charity to receive a $1,000 donation from the TruStone Financial Foundation. In all, the Foundation gave $14,000 to organizations across Minnesota and Wisconsin. Its donations helped support causes like fighting hunger, protecting victims of domestic violence and helping special education students transition into adulthood. Staff from the Rogers branch of TruStone Financial presented a check for $1,000 to CROSS Services staff at the organization’s food and clothing shelf in Rogers. “ This year marks the 80 year anniversary of the credit union and 10 years since the Foundation’s founding,” said Sam Stern, Chairman of the TruStone Financial Foundation. “The Foundation was pleased to partner with each of the credit union’s branches to help give back to our communities. Supporting our neighbors is the core of TruStone’s mission.” The TruStone Financial Foundation was founded in 2009 to promote financial education in the community and has grown to support other charitable causes. In 2019, the Foundation awarded $13,000 toward academic scholarships and made donations to non-profits like Junior Achievement.
